Foundations to Healing is proud to announce that James Wixted has earned his certification as a Certified Interventionist, expanding the services we can offer to individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders.
James brings a wealth of experience to this role as a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC), Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS), and National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS). His professional expertise, combined with his passion for helping others navigate the challenges of recovery, makes him uniquely qualified to support individuals and families during some of their most difficult moments.
As a Certified Interventionist, James is trained to guide families through a structured, compassionate process designed to encourage loved ones to seek treatment and begin their recovery journey. Interventions are often a critical turning point, providing education, support, and a clear path forward when substance use has created barriers to communication, trust, and healing.
James understands that substance use disorders affect not only the individual but also the entire family system. Through intervention services, he works collaboratively with families to develop personalized plans, establish healthy boundaries, improve communication, and connect individuals to appropriate treatment and recovery resources.
His credentials as both a CAC, CRPS, and NCPS reflect his commitment to evidence-based practices, recovery-oriented systems of care, and person-centered support. James’s ability to combine professional knowledge with genuine empathy helps create an environment where hope and healing can begin.
The addition of intervention services strengthens Foundations to Healing’s continuum of care by offering support at an earlier stage of the recovery process. Families no longer have to navigate these difficult situations alone—they have a trained professional who can help guide them toward solutions and recovery.
Please join us in congratulating James on this significant professional achievement. We are grateful for his dedication to the individuals and families we serve and look forward to the positive impact he will continue to make in our community.
